“As an international student SACAP made me feel very welcome. My anxiety about studying in a foreign language quickly disappeared. SACAP has given me the inspiration and knowledge to use my natural instincts and apply them in the field of psychology in the best possible way.”

International Students
Successfully communicating and interacting with people and organizations across different cultures and backgrounds is critical to our ongoing professional and personal development. All College programmes are open to international students whether they have moved to South Africa to pursue their studies or wish to do so from abroad. As a result, the College attracts a diverse range of students from around the world into both our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Studying in South Africa
International visa students can study at our campus in Cape Town.
Programme costs
Full details of fees and applications for international students are available.
Support
The College provides a variety of services to students in support of their personal and professional development while studying at the College.
English proficiency
It is important that students have a solid grasp of both written and spoken English, as the College’s approach to learning is highly interactive and experiential.
Applicants whose secondary and/or tertiary education was undertaken in a language other than English will need to provide the results of an International English Language Testing System examination.
Student Visas
When the College accepts an international student, it provides the student with a ‘Letter of Confirmation’, which is required for student visa applications. It is the student’s responsibility to obtain their study visa from the South African Department of Home Affairs.
Personal Details
It is important that all international students contact the Administration Department when they first arrive at the College. Administration will require current details as well as a copy of your student visa.
Overseas Health Cover
It is a requirement that international students obtain health insurance cover for the duration of their stay in South Africa.
Travel Costs
When making application, you will need to take into account the costs associated with travelling to South Africa, accommodation and general living expenses while in the country and of returning to your home country at the end of your stay.
Study from Home
The South African College of Applied Psychology’s comprehensive distance education programme enables international students to study all or part of their qualification from their home country.
All you need is a postal address
The distance education programme provides paper-based materials that allow the individual student to pace their way through a structured programme. The curriculum is full of activities and exercises that students can practice and apply no matter where they are.
