Marc Lipshitz is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Cape Town with a special interest in Loss and Bereavement, and Death and Dying. He obtained his Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and was awarded a distinction in his Dissertation entitled: Meaning-making processes among bereaved mothers who have lost a child to cancer. He is also responsible for managing and running Nechama (Jewish Bereavement Counselling Service) in Cape Town, which involves training volunteers to become bereavement counsellors as well as conducting internal supervision for professionals working in the Organization. Marc lectures part-time at Stellenbosch University and UCT. He also supervises Clinical Psychology Masters students at Stellenbosch University and UCT. On numerous occasions, Marc has been invited as a guest speaker on Cape Talk Radio to talk about loss and grief.
