Over time a variety of management styles have emerged. Some have worked better than others. The style of management, and the attitude and approach of individual managers, can greatly impact a business and its employees on multiple levels. The 21st century has brought new challenges for businesses and a greater need for progressive management styles.

Coaching falls within the more progressive management approach where employees are motivated through managers providing professional development opportunities. Managers aim to upskill their team and utilise the strengths of each individual for the purpose of better work performance and attainment of company goals.

The upcoming “Coaching as a Management Style” Twitter Talk, hosted by SACAP on Tuesday, 12th July, will take a closer look at the role of coaching at management level and in which work environments the coaching approach to management is most effective. The talk will also explore the role of coaching in the workplace and how managers can upskill to incorporate coaching into their management style.
