Study Management & Leadership
SACAP aspires to create a society of empowered individuals who realise their full leadership potential and contribute meaningfully to the inspiration, growth and development in others.
We seek to achieve this by empowering leaders to harness their potential and effect change through excellence in management and leadership education. Training through the unique lens of Applied Psychology, our programmes prepare students with solid theoretical knowledge, strong business and people management skills, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities as well as relevant skills required to navigate the increasingly complex demands of competitive environments.
Our unique approach to teaching and learning combines rigorous academic theory with practical skills, workplace experience and self-development to ensure that our students graduate with the knowledge, insight and confidence to positively impact their realities.
Graduates of SACAP’s programmes are on their own journey of lifelong learning and development and are widely respected for their high levels of competency and personal maturity, supporting others in their personal and professional actualisation.
Coaching
A coach is a thinking partner that accelerates learning and development. The coach provides a space for reflection, asks questions to promote insight, and collaborates with the coachee to design actions to achieve their goals (and holds them accountable for the changes they want to create).
What is coaching?
The study of coaching aims to benefit individuals, their organisations and society as a whole. Coaching does not work with pathology or the treatment of mental health problems – it concentrates on well-being. Coaching is a developing profession that is still in its infancy. Aspiring coaches, therefore, need to take responsibility to equip themselves to be competent, ethical and knowledgeable practitioners.
