Two honours programmes, both nationally and internationally recognised
SACAP is South Africa’s leading provider of education in the field of Applied Psychology. Of our wide range of accredited courses, we offer successful undergraduates a choice of two honours programmes:
- Bachelor of Social Science Honours in Psychology
- Bachelor of Social Science Honours in Psychology [BPsych Equivalent Programme]
Both degrees are nationally and internationally recognised as meeting best practice standards of quality and excellence and both can lead to a master’s in psychology or a cognate field, possibly with a view to a professional career as a Psychologist.
The primary difference between the two programmes, however, is that the BPsych Equivalent Programme leads to professional registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Registered Counsellor.
Please note that our BPsych Equivalent Programme is only offered on our Cape Town. Johannesburg and Pretoria Campuses
