# SACAP (The South African College of Applied Psychology)   > Founded in 1997, SACAP is an independent and internationally accredited tertiary education provider with a reputation for producing ethical graduates with maturity, critical thinking skills and real-world practical experience. (Registration Certificate: 2005/HE07/001), operating under the Higher Education Act, 1997 (Act 101 of 1997). SACAP are the leaders in Applied Psychology and related people-focused disciplines across three faculties: Applied Psychology; Management & Leadership; and Social Work & Community Development. Graduates wishing to register as clinical psychologists must complete further postgraduate study at a HPCSA-approved institution.
