SACAP offers the following coaching courses. All programmes are International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited and COMENSA aligned, and emphasise academic rigour, practical skill application and personal mastery:

Postgraduate Diploma in Coaching

SACAP’s Postgraduate Diploma in Coaching is a comprehensive NQF 8 (Honours-equivalent) level qualification designed to equip professional coach practitioners. We bring our unique psychological lens to coaching as an applied psychology as we believe that in order to work effectively with others, one needs to understand and apply psychological principles.

Designed for working professionals, this part-time, two-year, qualification blends academic rigour with the development of strong applied practical skills. The Postgraduate Diploma in Coaching offers a solid theoretical grounding and a deep understanding of current coaching thinking, practice, ethics and research.  Providing depth and mastery, it assists you to uncover your signature presence, create your own coaching model and implement a practitioner research project.  You will receive customised feedback about your demonstrated coaching skills and mentoring from International Coach Federation (ICF) credentialed mentor coaches.  The programme also includes a coaching competency performance exam and equips students as professional coach practitioners for multiple contexts such as Personal Coaching, Corporate Coaching and Executive Coaching.

Coach Practitioner Programme

SACAP’s Coach Practitioner Programme is a part-time, five month, short learning programme designed for working professionals.  It will provide you with a foundation in professional coaching and equip you with both theory and practical skills to become a coach practitioner.  We bring our unique psychological lens to coaching as an applied psychology and believe that in order to work effectively with others, one needs to understand and apply psychological principles within the scope of practice as a coach.

In addition to being trained in the coaching competencies set by the International Coach Federation (ICF), you will also receive personalised feedback and mentoring from ICF credentialed mentor coaches towards your professional development as a coach.

Advanced Coach Practitioner Programme

SACAP’s Advanced Coach Practitioner Programme builds on SACAP’s Coach Practitioner Programme, taking you to the next level by deepening your coaching development.  This short learning programme equips you with an integrated understanding of adult learning and change, offers an in-depth exploration of ethical practice in coaching, and exposes you to a range of coaching models including Group and Team Coaching.

This part-time, six month, short learning programme is designed for working professionals and includes a strong practical component within a robust theoretical framework.  The programme includes exploring and applying different coaching models to assist you on the path to refining your own coaching approach.  This also allows for further development of your professional coaching competencies.  You will receive customised feedback about your demonstrated coaching skills and mentor coaching from International Coach Federation (ICF) credentialed mentor coaches.  The programme also includes a coaching competency performance exam.

Postgraduate Diploma in Coaching Learnership

The Postgraduate Diploma in Coaching Learnership offers a solid theoretical grounding and a deep understanding of current coaching thinking, practice, ethics and research. It includes a strong practical component that culminates in a supervised workplace Client Coaching Internship and research paper and involves practical applications in each of its 8 modules.

Coaching in the workplace

This internationally accredited coaching course provides a strong framework for managers and leaders to immerse themselves in coaching skills and implement coaching conversations effectively within their workplace in order to empower others to maximise their performance. The course carries 30 hours of International Coach Federation (ICF) Accredited Coach Specific Training (ACSTH) hours that can count towards the minimum number of coach training hours needed to credential with ICF as an Associate Certified Coach if a student wishes to pursue credentialing with the global body.

This Course Is Ideal For:
