You’ve heard that experience when studying enables you to enter the job market a lot easier after qualifying. But what does that entail and how do you make it happen? Especially when you’re studying a full-time qualification.
Work Integrated Learning
At SACAP, practical experience is a hallmark of our curriculum. This means that, as part of your studies, you get to apply your theoretical knowledge in the field. SACAP has formed relationships with various psychosocial organisations in the counselling, community, health and welfare services. When completing the Work Integrated Learning module, you will apply your knowledge at one of our many placement sites. This will give you:
- Valuable and practical experience before you graduate
- The chance to develop in a particular field
- Opportunity to make a positive impact in South African communities
- Counsellor aptitudes and ethical awareness
- The confidence to enter into the workplace
Our Students Say it Best
