In this thought-provoking wellbeing webinar, we’ll take a step back from the culture of constant activity and explore what it might mean to do less, more intentionally.
For teachers, busy schedules, competing demands and the pressure to always be available can make it tempting to equate activity with productivity. We fill gaps in our calendars, respond immediately to messages, take on commitments automatically and can even feel guilty when we stop. But being busy doesn’t always mean we are making meaningful progress and sustainable wellbeing isn’t necessarily about adding more healthy habits to an already full life.
Instead, this session invites us to pause and asks a different question:
What could I remove from my life to create more space for what really matters?
Through this webinar, we’ll explore why we feel compelled to stay busy, the hidden costs of constant demands and interruptions, and how being “always on” can affect our mental energy, attention, creativity, relationships, patience, sleep and ability to recover.
We’ll consider the difference between important and urgent, necessary and optional, activity and meaningful progress, while reflecting on whether the way we spend our time actually reflects our priorities.
